The pigs seamed to love the sprouts. A lot of research has shown that when you sprout a grain the nutritional content of the grain rises dramatically. So our hope is to increase the nutritional content of our animals to a new level which will not only benefit the animals but all of us who benefit from the pigs.

 Now barley seeds can be transformed into fresh green grass all year long which opens up many doors! Our eggs, chicken, and pork should be even more nutritious now maybe even our cattle.
Now for the second experiment. Very excited. Stay tuned. 
This photo is about 12 to 24 hours after heavily misting the Barley seeds. Temperature is about 70 degrees inside the micro green house. The white tip coming up out the seed is the root. If the root cannot find water or drys out the plant will die.
 Sprouted grains can transform into a carpet of fresh grass in 6 - 9 days. What is exciting is that by sprouting the grain we can have a source of fresh green grass all year long which opens up many doors.
