Today I moved all the cattle back to the first pasture the cattle arrived on in early summer. This will be the last paddock for one of our grass fed steers. This paddock has a beautiful mixture of grasses and legumes so the beef should be really good.
We found a nice butcher shop in Vineland. So we should have 100% Grass Fed Devon Beef available in about a month or so. Can't wait!

Today we expanded some of the paths around the exterior fence to allow vehicles to drive around the farm. We would like to be able to have guided tours where we can drive around the entire farm and be able to see all of the animals.
We also started setting up the last semi permanent fence. So the cattle will have two more paddocks to graze before starting them over in the paddocks they first started in. The last batch of broiler chickens will be moved out to pasture in a few days depending on the weather. Only one bag of hog feed left and the feed store is closed! We will try for tomorrow. |
